VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan 15, 2014) - Wellgreen Platinum Ltd. (TSX-VENTURE:WG)(OTCQX:WGPLF) ("Wellgreen" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has granted, in aggregate, 3,940,000 stock appreciation rights ("SARs") to certain employees, directors, officers and other Company personnel. The SARs have been granted pursuant to the terms of the Company's Share-Based Compensation Plan (the "Plan"), which was approved by a majority vote of disinterested shareholders at the Company's recent annual general and special meeting of shareholders that was held on December 17, 2013.

Each SAR is exercisable at $0.57 for a term of five years expiring on January 15, 2019, and vests as to 25% on each of the grant date; July 15, 2014; January 15, 2015; and July 15, 2015, and is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
