EssilorLuxottica SA said Thursday that it agreed to take over U.S. lab network Walman, without disclosing financial terms of the deal.

The Franco-Italian eyewear group said Walman's 35 facilities in the U.S. include prescription lens-finishing labs and it will continue to operate under the Walman brand. Walman had revenues of around $500 million in 2020.

EssilorLuxottica expects the acquisition to close in the next months.
