The Ziegler Companies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ZGCO), a diversified financial services holding company, today released its financial results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2013.

In the three months ended June 30, 2013, total revenues for the quarter were $18,664,000 compared to $18,641,000 in the second quarter of 2012. Net income for the second quarter of 2013 was $1,297,000 or $1.08 per basic and $1.07 per diluted share compared to a net income of $485,000 or 40 cents per basic and diluted share in the second quarter of 2012.

For the six months ended June 30, 2013, total revenues were $31,834,000 compared to $37,096,000 for the same period in 2012. Net income for the six-month period was $175,000 or 15 cents per basic and diluted share in 2013 compared to a net income of $770,000 or 65 cents per basic and diluted share for the same period in 2012. Book value as of June 30, 2013 was $27.03 per share, the same as the book value as of December 31, 2012. Tangible book value as of June 30, 2013 was $25.60 per share, a decrease from $25.70 per share at December 31, 2012.
