PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that on 17 July 2020 it purchased 200,000 of its

ordinary   shares at a price of 228.98 pence per share, to be held in treasury.

Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital consists of 270,768,024 ordinary shares of GBP0.01 each, and an additional 465,000 ordinary shares held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 270,768,024 .

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
