US Futures Flat, European Stocks Up as Inflation Data in Focus

In the U.S., futures for the S&P 500 were up 0.1% and
futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were flat. Changes in
futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening
bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 gained 0.2% in morning trading.
CD Projekt added 7% and Raiffeisen Bank Intl rose 4.8%. On the
other hand, Orpea dropped 4.2%, and Sartorius Stedim Biotech fell
4.1%. The FTSE 100 added 0.2%. Other stocks in Europe were up as
France's CAC 40 increased 0.3% and Germany's DAX climbed 0.2%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index climbed 0.1% to 96.09.
In commodities, Brent crude dropped 0.2% to $78.45 a barrel, and
WTI crude fell 0.1% to $74.32 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield declined by 0.7 basis points to
2.367% from 2.374%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury
climbed by 0.9 basis points to 3.561% from 3.553%. Bond prices and
yields move in opposite directions.
Stocks in Asia were up as Japan's Nikkei 225 index grew 0.9%,
and Hong Kong's Hang Seng grew 0.9%. China's benchmark Shanghai
Composite grew 0.4%.
