Purchase of Own Shares

In accordance with Listing Rule 12.4.6R, the Company announces that, in connection with the Tender Offer (the results of which were announced earlier today), on 21 February 2017 the Company purchased 41,958,041 Ordinary Shares at a price of 715 pence per Ordinary Share. These 41,958,041 Ordinary Shares have been cancelled.

Shareholders who tendered more than the 39.06 per cent. of their Individual Basic Entitlement were scaled-back by 89.8080502644651 per cent. of the number of excess shares tendered.

Capitalised terms used in this announcement have the same meaning as ascribed to them in the shareholder circular published by the Company on 23 January 2017 in connection with the Tender Offer.
