                         Invests $1m in US expansion





Wellington Holdings plc, the global specialist seals business operating in
niche markets, announces the investment of $1 million in its CDI Seals plant
in Texas.  The investment in plant and tooling has been made over the last 12
months to meet increasing demand from oil, gas and chemical industries in the
US.



The expanded factory incorporates an integrated production cell for the
manufacture and assembly of sophisticated composite seals incorporating
high-performance elastomeric, plastic and metal components.



Completion of the project was ahead of schedule and in line with budget and
the factory continues to achieve record daily sales even as the new plant
comes on stream.



Commenting, Peter Bennett, CEO of Wellington Holdings said:



"In the last 12 months, output has risen 50% and additional capacity is now
available for further growth. Strong global demand for Wellington's
energy-related specialist seals, including those made by CDI, has supported
investment in this exciting sector."
