Miller ranked as a top Midcap CFO for the second year in a row

Brian K. Miller, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL), was recently named to the Institutional Investor “All-America Executive Team” for 2017. Miller was ranked among the top three Midcap CFOs in the software sector for the second consecutive year.

Institutional Investor is the leading publication for institutional investors, including money managers and pension fund managers. Each year, the publication does extensive polling of portfolio managers and sell-side analysts to name the best CEOs, CFOs, and investor relations professionals at the U.S.-based companies they cover. These businesses are evaluated on their performance in each of eight investor relations attributes, including accessibility of senior management, quality and depth of answers to inquiries, transparency of financial reporting, and disclosure.

The overall rankings in each of the four categories – Best CEO, Best CFO, Best IR Professional, and Best IR Company – are based on combined buy- and sell-side votes. A total of 3,706 individuals representing 2,214 companies appear on this year’s rosters, which reflect the opinions of almost 3,200 investment professionals at roughly 900 financial services firms.

Miller began his career at Tyler in 1997 as vice president and chief accounting officer, a position he held until 1999 when he was promoted as vice president of finance and treasurer. Since 2008, he has served as Tyler’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
