DETROIT, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy efficiency experts from DTE
Energy will be at The Home Depot stores in metro Detroit Saturday,
Oct. 10 to offer homeowners advice on how to save money by saving
energy. Shoppers also will be able to take advantage of special
pricing DTE Energy is offering on energy-efficient light bulbs.
Select Energy Star ® qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs
(CFLs) are available for less than 99 cents per bulb at The Home
Depot locations throughout the metro Detroit area. With lighting
accounting for about 20 percent of the average homeowner's electric
bill, replacing incandescent bulbs with CFLs can help lower energy
expenses. CFLs use 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times
longer and provide just as much light as standard incandescent
bulbs. That can translate into savings of as much as $44 over the
