Delta Exploration Inc. ("Delta") (TSX VENTURE:DEV) is pleased to announce
results from recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling on its 100%-owned Manalo
Gold Project, in southwestern Mali, West Africa. At the Dialafara Prospect,
DL-36 intersected 15.60 g/t over 16.0 metres including 42.58 g/t Au over 4.0
metres. DL-32, 500 metres to southeast along strike, intersected 1.61 g/t Au
over 16.0 metres. This newly discovered mineralization, hosted in Birimian
meta-sedimentary rocks, is coincident with new artisanal workings and is open in
all directions. A total of 7,340 metres of drilling was completed in 69 holes
across the Manalo Permit.
Dialafara Prospect
Twenty-five RC drill holes totalling 2,694 metres were drilled at Dialafara, in
the northwestern quadrant of the Manalo permit, along several interpreted
north-northwest trending structures. Two fences of holes 500 metres apart,
crossed one such structure in the centre of the Dialafara corridor. The first
fence consisting of 5 holes, intersected 1.61 g/t Au over 16.0 metres associated
with quartz veining in carbonaceous meta-pelites, in DL-32. The second fence of
two holes intersected two mineralized zones in DL-36. The upper zone assayed
2.26 g/t Au over 10.0 metres between 95 - 105 metres downhole. The lower
mineralized zone, starting at 119 metres downhole, assayed 15.64 g/t Au over
16.0 metres, including 42.58 g/t Au over 4.0 metres. The upper mineralized zone
is also associated with quartz veining hosted in carbonaceous meta-pelite but
the lower zone of mineralization is hosted in silicified pyritic meta-psammite.
The hole terminated in mineralization.

Drilling also focussed along a north-northwest trending structure 1500 metres to
the south, near where DL-01 had intersected 9.57 g/t Au over 9.0 metres and
DL-02 had hit 29.07 g/t Au over 6.0 metres. The structures hosting that
mineralization appear to trend east-northeast. Several holes attempted to link
that mineralization to the larger northwest-trending structures but were largely
unsuccessful. Two holes tested an area of anomalous soil geochemistry, almost 2
kilometres northeast of the main Dialafara trend but were also unsuccessful.
Diamond drilling attempted to follow up on the DL-32 / DL-36 mineralization but
had to be postponed due to access problems caused by seasonal heavy rains. Core
drilling will resume after the rains. An Induced Polarization (IP) survey will
be completed to assist in additional targeting.
Dialafara Nord Prospect
At Dialafara Nord, located approximately 4 kilometres north of Dialafara, 7 RC
holes were completed totalling 768 metres. Drilling targeted quartz veining
visible in the laterite exposed intermittently over 2 kilometres of strike,
coincident with geochemical and geophysical anomalies. Quartz veining is hosted
in carbonaceous meta-pelites. DN-03, DN-05, DN-06, and DN-07 stretch over
approximately 450 metres of the identified vein trend, while DN-01 is situated
1.3 kilometres further northwest. More work, including IP and RC drilling, is
required to determine the potential of Dialafara Nord.

Mansaya Prospect
Mansaya is located in the south-central portion of the permit. Seventeen RC
holes totalling 1679 metres were divided between north and south zones. To the
north, drilling last December intersected low-grade mineralization coincident
with a moderate soil geochemical anomaly and IP chargeability. Drill highlights
included 1.01 g/t Au over 12 metres in MS-04 and 1.96 g/t Au over 5 metres in
MS-03.
Recent drilling targeted the interpreted trend of the mineralization discovered
in MS-03 and MS-04. Highlights include 0.80 g/t Au over 27 metres in MS-08 and
1.28 g/t Au over 7 metres in MS-09. To the south, MS-18 intersected 3 distinct
zones under a broad zone of surface artisanal workings. Mineralization does not
appear to be controlled by the principal foliation.

A program of gradient IP and RAB or aircore drilling is planned across the
interpreted mineralized trends to the north and south at Mansaya after the wet
season.
Sirabada Prospect
Sirabada consists of an intensely clay-altered zone, locally exploited by
artisanal mining, in northerly striking, steep-dipping Birimian meta-sediments.
RC drilling completed in December intersected extensive quartz veining but no
significant gold mineralization. Nine additional RC holes totalling 1,142 metres
were completed along a strong north-northwest structure. Again, abundant quartz
veining was encountered with associated erratic gold values (see Table 4).

Data from both phases of drilling, surface mapping, IP surveying, and soil
geochemistry will be used to create a geological model that could be used to
target additional holes, if warranted.
Manalo SE Prospect
Eleven holes totalling 1,057 metres tested a broad soil geochemical anomaly and
two sites of artisanal mining activity. One significant intercept, in MSE-03, is
located at the south end of the grid, between the two artisanal sites. A
pronounced north-northwest trending quartz structure was tested with 5 holes but
returned very low gold values.

Manalo NE Prospect
Drilling along the Manalo NE structure in mid-2006 and late 2007 were successful
in defining a continuous north-northwest mineralized structure over
approximately 500m. No further drilling was undertaken so far in 2008 but the
zone remains open along strike and to depth. Oriented core drilling to better
define the lithology and structure is contemplated during the next phase of
drilling. Other work, including an IP survey, is planned for later in 2008.
The Manalo Project comprises the Manalo and Balandougou permits totalling 225
square kilometres, located 100 kilometres southwest of Bamako, the capital city
of Mali.
