ZURICH--Swiss private bank Julius Baer Holding AG Tuesday said it was talking to Bank of America Corp. (BAC) about acquiring Merrill Lynch's international wealth management business.

The talks, which relate to the non-U.S. arm of the business, are at an early stage, and the outcome is "entirely open," Julius Baer said in a statement.
