Ocado Group PLC suffered a fire on Friday at its Erith customer fulfillment center in England, which caused disruption to the company's operations, according to a statement on the online grocer and retail-technology specialist's website.

The company said the vast majority of the site is in good condition and that it expects the facility to start operating within the coming week.

Ocado said the incident appears to have been caused by the collision of three bots on the grid resulting in a fire, with no reported injuries.

"The damage is limited to a small section of less than 1% of the grid having been contained by planned fire attenuation measures," the company said.

Shares at 1055 GMT were down 72 pence, or 4%, at 1,733 pence.
