Prudential PLC said Thursday that it has appointed Laura Prieskorn as chief executive of U.S. business Jackson Financial Inc., and Marcia Wadsten as chief financial officer, ahead of the subsidiary's planned separation from the group.

Prieskorn had previously worked as Jackson's executive vice president and chief operating officer, the insurance-and-investment business said.

Prudential said Wadsten used to hold the senior vice president and chief actuary roles of the group.

"Michael Falcon and Axel Andre have left their respective roles as CEO and CFO, and Jackson. All management changes are effective immediately," Prudential said.
