           Announcement of Dublin Airport Authority plc appointed day

                             Aer Rianta Finance plc

Euro250,000,000 6.15 per cent. notes due 2011 of Aer Rianta Finance plc, guaranteed
                               by Aer Rianta cpt

Further to the RNS announcement issued on 22 July, the State Airports Act 2004
(the "Act"), deals with the proposed restructuring of Aer Rianta cpt, the
guarantor of the Notes (the "Guarantor"). The Minister for Transport has,
pursuant to section 9 (6) of the Act, made an Order designating 1 October 2004
as the Dublin appointed day (as defined in the Act).

On this date, the Guarantor will be re-named Dublin Airport Authority plc and
its existing directors will cease to hold office. The membership of the board of
Dublin Airport Authority plc will comprise eight non-executive directors
(previously announced by the Minister for Transport), four worker directors and
the chief executive.
