Marriott International shares fall 5% after the company said it identified a data breach that has affected up to 500 million guests who made a reservation at Starwood properties. The company launched an investigation that found that an unauthorized party had gained access to customer data from payment-card information to names and passports since 2014, prior to Marriott's acquisition of Starwood in 2016. Shares in several hotel companies including Hilton, InterContinental Hotels and Hyatt are also trading lower Friday. (kimberly.chin@wsj.com ; @mskimberlychin)
