Whistler Investments, Inc. (WHIS) and the California Highway Patrol
to develop a Lithium-powered Memorial Chopper to honor CHP's fallen
heroes. Orange County Choppers and Whistler Investments to build
world's first Lithium-powered Chopper for the California Highway
Patrol. LAS VEGAS, NV / WASHINGTON, DC, Aug. 31
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Whistler Investments, Inc. (NASD OTCBB:
WHIS - http://www.whistlerinvestments.com/) and its subsidiaries
R-Electric Car Co., Global Electric Corp., and Solium Power Corp. -
emerging leaders in the development and marketing of
Lithium-powered products worldwide, announced today that a project
of significant importance has been initiated with officers from the
California Highway Patrol and Whistler Investments, Inc. The
detailed release can be viewed at
http://www.whistlerinvestments.com/media.php?mediaID=040831. The
project will serve as a memorial to the officers of the California
Highway Patrol who have died in the line of duty. The project was
conceived after the tragic death of Officer Thomas Steiner. Tom was
a very professional and polite officer. He was quiet, kept to
himself, and genuinely a "good man" who never spoke a cross word to
anyone. Tom was a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer and he
loved his job. He is terribly missed by the Santa Fe Springs CHP
office. The CHP is one of the most respected law enforcement
agencies in the world today and well known for its motorcycle
officers. In fact, at one time, all CHP Officers rode motorcycles.
This project will be a testament to heroism, technology and the
traditions of the CHP. In selecting a design and build team, Orange
County Choppers is a superlative choice for this soon to be
legendary chopper. American Choppers, which airs on The Discovery
Channel, is a program that focuses on a father and son team and the
motorcycle fabrication of Orange County Choppers (OCC). OCC has
designed many projects that pay tribute to America's fallen heroes.
The design of the project will be futuristic - a modern chopper
with clean lines yet radical styling. The chopper will retain some
styling features of the CHP motors of past and present, and pay
homage to the officers lost in the line of duty while maintaining
the true elements of the CHP history. The CHP memorial Chopper will
be developed at Whistler's Van Nuys facility and will be delivered
to the CHP for presentation in early 2005. California Governor
Arnold Schwarzenegger will dedicate the Chopper at a special
ceremony honoring the CHP's fallen heroes. In addition, the chopper
will be used in ceremonial efforts such as parades, events, media
and motorcycle shows in and around California. Holly Roseberry,
President of Whistler states, "Our involvement in this project
makes me incredibly proud. As we begin working on this project we
are reminded that our role is not only to create a strong business
based on advanced technology, it is also to work with the community
to advance our common goals. This project is like no other and the
opportunity for our team to work with both the California Highway
Patrol and the legendary team at Orange County Choppers is a true
success for Whistler investments. The integration of our Lithium
technology into this unit is certainly a milestone for our company
and the CHP. I am sure all parties involved with this project will
benefit from the attention it will garner". For more information on
