LONDON--WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said on Thursday it has agreed with its broker Bank of American Merrill Lynch to buy back shares on its behalf between July 1 to Aug. 24.

The communications company said the purchased shares will be held in treasury.

Shares closed at 1552 pence.
